Miconazole nitrate is a broad-spectrum antifungal drug, which has antibacterial effect on a variety of fungi, especially Candida, and also has antibacterial effect on some gram-positive bacilli and cocci. Its mechanism of action is to inhibit the synthesis of fungal cell membranes and affect its metabolic process.

 

Systemically administered preparations of miconazole nitrate can inhibit CYP3A4/2C9. Due to the limited systemic digestion and absorption of this product in part administered, drug interactions with clinical manifestations are rare. Patients taking oral anticoagulants should be used with caution and the efficacy of anticoagulation should be tested.
