Dasatinib, also formerly BMS-354825, is a cancer treatment drug marketed by Bristol-Myers Squibb and marketed under the name "Sprycel." Dasatinib is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor against the Philadelphia chromosome and Src gene variants and is mainly used in the treatment of chronic myeloid leukemia (imatinib) chronic myelogenous leukemia, and Philadelphia chromosome positive acute myeloid leukemia (Ph + ALL) patients. The drug has also been shown to treat many other types of cancer, including accelerated prostate cancer.
