Podophyllotoxin, also known as podafilol, is a non-alkaloid lignan toxoid.It is extracted from the rhizome of podophyllum.Its ethanol solution and ointment have the trade names of Kangdinglai and Huawudi, respectively, and can be used as topical medicines for the treatment of condyloma acuminatum caused by human papillomavirus.
