Description

Kinetin is an endogenous cytokinin with a chemical name of 6-furfurylaminopurine and a molecular formula of C10H9N5O. Insoluble in water, soluble in strong acid, alkali and glacial acetic acid; in addition to promoting cell division, it also has the effect of delaying the senescence of isolated leaves and cut flowers, inducing bud differentiation and development and increasing stomatal opening.
